چکیده

Optimal physical performance is achieved through the careful manipulation of training and recovery. Short-term increases in demand can induce functional overreaching (FOR) that lead to improved capabilities, whereas nonfunctional (NFOR) or overtraining syndrome (OTS) occur when high training-demand applied for extensive periods with limited To date, little known about OTS strength sports, particularly from perspective sport coach. Fourteen high-performance coaches a range sports (weightlifting; n = 5, powerlifting; 4, sprinting; 2, throws; jumps; 1) participated semistructured interviews (mean duration 57; SD 10 min) discuss their experiences OTS. Reflexive thematic analysis resulted identification four higher order themes: definitions, symptoms, recovery observations. Additional subthemes were created facilitate organisation presentation data, aid both cohesiveness reporting publicising results. Prevalence within was considered low, majority participants not observing experiencing long-term reductions athletes.

Biochemical aspects of overtraining in endurance sports: a review.

Top-level performances in endurance sports require several years of hard training loads. A major objective of this endurance training is to reach the most elevated metabolic adaptations the athlete will be able to support. As a consequence, overtraining is a recurrent problem that highly-trained athletes may experience during their career. Many studies have revealed that overtraining could be h...

Overtraining in Fuzzy ARTMAP: Myth or Reality?

In this paper we are examining the issue of overtraining in Fuuy ARTMAP. Over-training in Fuuy ARTMAP manifests itself in two different ways: (a) it degrades the generalization performance of Fuzzy ARTMAP as training progresses, and (b) it creates unnecessarily large Fuuy ARTMAP neural network architectures. In this work we are demonstrating that overtraining happens in Fuuy ARTMAP and we propo...
